Designer's Notes

This traditional living room was created by combining comfortable furniture with great colors, well thought out furnishings and exotic patterns that give the space a worldly flair. Custom draperies were created with muslin swags and tassel fringe that are light weight but strong in color and give the windows a bit of drama by appearing to be falling from the gold medallions. Lit niches, showing off imported iron and glass urns, flank the custom tile fireplace. A playful orange accent color offsets the heaviness of the large leather armchairs and wooden coffee table. Custom fabric on the sofas and fringed pillows provide visual playfulness due to the texture and patterns used.
