Designer's Notes

This custom-built desk is actually two-sided; the side you see is for mom and the other side is for kids with storage in the middle. Previously the stairwell, it was removed to open the space and create an eat-in kitchen. The kitchen table is behind the desk space, which used to be a den. Tip: Carving out even the smallest message center will help you stay organized.
