Gallery Hallway with Floor-to Ceiling French Doors and Mirrors and a Pair of 19th Century Settees

Unassuming luxury dresses a fashion-forward gallery with floor-to-ceiling French doors that open to verdant grounds. A pair of nineteenth-century settees from Turin procured from Watkins Culver, Houston, wears "Venezia" by Pintura Studio, NYC. Bolsters in Rose Cumming's silk velvet help pull together the look, assisted, of course, by mirrors from M. Naeve, Houston, and a multicultural mix of French and Italian antique candlesticks purchased on shopping forays abroad. Pendants by Paul Ferrante, Los Angeles, and nineteenth-century double-arm Italian sconces from Chateau Domingue, Houston, cast warm light on the series of structural ribs dividing the barrel vault ceiling into three equal segments. © Gibbs Smith, Allure of French & Italian Design, Betty Lou Phillips
