This dining room is surrounded by vistas of the countryside that inspired the colors in the room. Walls are upholstered in Donghia's wheat-colored raffia and simple window treatments are constructed with Brunschwig & Fils "The Walnut Tree" cotton print. A nineteenth-century French walnut semainier on the back wall holds linens, with a drawer for each day of the week. A combination of chairs and fabrics are used for more individuality: at the antique dining table, Rose Tarlow buttermilk-washed "Chippendale" side chairs are mixed with host and hostess chairs upholstered in Brunschwig & Fils "Elba Woven" stripe. © Gibbs Smith, Barry Dixon Interiors, Brian D Coleman
