Designer's Notes

A dramatic area rug is the focal point of this modern family room in a Manhattan high rise. The unexpected combination of various blues in the rug and chartreuse linen draperies and grass cloth wall covering create a youthful, cool mood in this space. The hand-carved base of the blue velvet ottoman is reminiscent of a Moorish architectural frieze.
