Another important design consideration is the placement of furniture. The key is to create focused social groupings that allow for movement. Reduce unnecessary walls to create more open, flowing spaces. Define individual spaces using area rugs, furniture, artwork and an accent wall color if the architecture provides a distant wall space to accommodate it.
