Designer's Notes

The original staircase and chandelier are stunning yet traditional, so a vintage 70's console with benches mixes it up a bit. The black, brown and white fabric has a groovy pattern, but works with the traditional space because of its neutrality. The glove moulds and modern wood sculpture further create contrast. The art wall leading up the stairs has a mix of frames that house personal snapshots mixed with drawings and small scale artwork. Tip: When hanging family photos, mix them with art and line drawings, and try to avoid large scale photos because they tend to look like school pictures.
