Designer's Notes

This kitchen is a traditional design with a some farmhouse flavor. Contemporary lighting such as Murano glass cylinder ceiling light pendants and mid-century Emeco aluminum dining chairs provide some eclectic flair to the kitchen. The dining chairs are intended to juxtapose the antique, weathered farm table. Upscale appliances by Sub-Zero and Wolf add luxury to the kitchen design. Gray-colored Italian marble slabs are used to create a backsplash that provides a good deal of texture. The windows are purposely left untreated in order to allow for the maximum amount of light without disrupting the view to the outdoors.
