Interior designer Cathy Hobbs, ASID, chose to embrace the old world charm of this living room inside an historic brownstone on Manhattan's Upper West Side by adding furniture with warm brown and caramel tones, which enhances the wood in the space. Hobbs believes a common design mistake would have been to ignore the wood as opposed to embracing it.
