The gas fireplace in this basement living room is flanked by bookcases for storage and display, and full-depth cabinets below house audio/visual equipment. The lights and speakers are connected to the TV so when a movie starts, the lights and fireplace dim, the speakers come alive and go into surround sound and the family is ready to watch and enjoy.
