Designer's Notes

This owner-developed and designed loft is a smart home in which lighting, fans, window treatments, HVAC, digital music and A/V are all controlled entirely via remote and integrated keypads. Changeable color lighting is designed to express different daytime and nighttime moods. Over 25 different fixture types are used with a total of 197 fixtures throughout the loft. Bottom-up shades and custom floor valances are designed to control the urban views but allow in natural light and spectacular sky views. High-end finishes and furniture are featured throughout — Bulthaup kitchen cabinets, an 11-foot Carrara marble kitchen island, end-grain wood floors, green onyx countertops, custom-designed furniture and built-in millwork. Artwork from some of LA's hottest artists is selected and accents the gallery-like space.
