SPG Architects’ renovation of a penthouse in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City features parallel translucent panels that can be manipulated to create levels of separation at the openings in these walls. A silvery-wood paneled box contains the kitchen. Custom cabinetry in the kitchen, made of silvery wood, is easily hidden from the living area by closing the translucent panel.
