Cork Flooring in the kitchen helps to muffle sound and cushion tired feet. Caramelized bamboo flooring in the adjacent family room meets the cork in a sweeping curve and is divided by a 1/8-inch wide-brushed stainless steel transition strip. The curve is reflected in the ceiling soffit and countertop shape.
Tip: When you have a light neutral color for the walls, paint the ceiling to match, but use a flat sheen to hide imperfections. This paint color is Sherwin Williams Camelback.
