Designer's Notes

Contemporary bird artwork was chosen to add a quirky touch to this bright and bold guest bedroom. The pinks, reds and oranges from the art were used in a color-blocking technique around the room, featured on the lamps, cushions and bedding. "If you want to use bold color, but are afraid of the space looking like a kid's bedroom, try layering shades of the same tone. Here we used coral, orange and red to create a bright room that doesn't feel too childish," says designer Anna Williams of Ethos Interiors. Photo by Naomi Abdilla.
