Designer's Notes

SPG Architects’ Casa Torcida, located in the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica, features a master suite that opens to a large terrace overlooking the ocean. The movable glass-wall system, in conjunction with custom-made louvers from native species of wood, allows for flexibility in this tropical climate. The house can be opened to the costal air, but also closed when temperature and humidity rise. Photograph by Charles Lindsay
