Designer's Notes

SPG Architects’ Beach Walk House, located on New York’s Fire Island, is a house of three interlocking forms. The lower of the two living areas holds the private spaces: bedrooms. These bedrooms feature large windows looking into the dunes, which separate the house from the beach. By locating the private spaces on the lower floor, the upper floor is given the view of the beach. Photograph by Daniel Levin
