Designer's Notes

No room for a real bedroom set in the designer's 400-square-foot apartment in Manhattan. He creates a platform covered with carpet tiles and designs a custom cover for a mattress using Ikea sofa slips. The huge fluffy pillows give the room a modern relaxed feeling, while the platform offers storage underneath that can be accessed by removing the front panels.
