Designer's Notes

Bold geometry unites this contemporary, slightly ethnic powder room with the house's Mediterranean exterior, which comes inside via the window grill. A chunky floating wood slab countertop balances the massive masonry window decor and ebonized walnut wood floors. Frosted glass subway tile is turned vertically and installed flush with the drywall for a sleek new take on a now-common material. Brushed nickel fixtures and raw silk pendants frame a handmade silver bronze wash basin and custom-framed mirror.
