Designer's Notes

A tub surround of neutral porcelain tile is accented with a SICIS glass tile niche, which adds sparkle while preserving the budget. The maple cabinets butt up to the vertical stone trim piece for a clean transition.
Tip: Install the bath tile all the way up to the ceiling to make the area seem larger and draw the eye up. Mount a decorative shower curtain at the ceiling height line, and drape it to the side for a custom look. Z Gallerie, IKEA and west elm all have inexpensive drapery panels that are 96 inches long and can dress up any bathroom. The functional shower curtain can hide behind it when not in use.
