Three months ago, Steven Chapman and Ricardo Ordóñez purchased a 2,000-square-foot Spanish revival home in an established hillside community. The house was built in 1928 and still possesses many of the original details that lend character to the home, however, the kitchen was remodeled in the 1970s and now lacks flow, function and style. Chapman and Ordóñez would like to redo the kitchen to better suit their needs in terms of flow, function and size, but they also hope a designer's touch can restore some of the character and charm that was lost in the earlier remodel.
