Materials and Tools:

cork sheets
painted 2x4s or your own choice of molding
spray adhesive
blue painter's tape
2x4 lumber
table saw
nail gun

Steps:

1. After measuring out the area you want to cover with cork and cleaning the surface, trim the cork sheets so that the cork has a one-inch overhang.

2. To position the cork, tape the sides of the cork with painter's tape.

3. Turn over the cork and spray it with adhesive. Also spray a bit of adhesive on the wall. Then press the cork to the wall. Hold it until the spray adhesive can take over. Work with each sheet individually. Make sure the seams of all the different pieces of cork paper meet.

4. While the adhesive dries, use the table saw (or any other saw) to cut the molding to the correct dimensions. The molding should lie one inch over the corked area to prevent the cork from curling as temperatures change. Paint the molding and let it dry.

5. Use the nail gun to secure the molding directly into the studs of the wall. Touch up nail holes with putty and paint.
