Compact but visually dynamic, this clever combination of pool house and pavilion by Pool Environments provides a chic setting for a midnight swim or poolside lounging. The decking is colored and scored concrete, the pool coping is Leuder limestone and the sheltered entertainment area is a steel structure with a solid polymembrane roof, finished with tongue and groove cedar on the ceiling.

A stunning pool with brick size pieces of terracotta and Spanish tile for waterline accents by AMS Landscape Design Studio makes a stunning combo with a tile roof pavilion with exposed beams and an open fireplace for year round use.

Town and Country Conservatories offer a design approach that is classic yet modern with this pool conservatory which employs hardwood frames with an aluminum capped roof. "The proprietary side glazing system," notes architect James Licata, "has low-maintenance aluminum muntin bars on the outside and hardwood muntin bars on the inside."

Want a simple but stylish poolside structure with a Polynesian theme? Consider this tiki style hut by Aquatic Consultants Inc. with rope swings chairs and natural wood pillars and flooring. 

Minimalistic Gem

A fire pit, home entertainment center and protected lounge area with easy access to the water is presented in an enormously appealing but minimalistic style with no clutter. The fire pit and background kitchen are veneered in Leuder limestone with quartzite counters.

"It was constructed out of simple white painted cinderblock, Sunbrella fabric and high density foam, " she says. "It was a matter of understanding the scale of the poolside and encompassing it with the desire to utterly lounge. The curtains were installed for a possible need for privacy. "
