Before: Roomy Deck

There's an expansive deck in this tree-filled setting, but no outdoor kitchen.

Before: Back Porch Needs Dining Space

The homeowners could dine on a patio table but wanted a larger dining space with an outdoor kitchen.

Before: Basic Back Porch

The home's design afforded room to add a covered porch with an outdoor kitchen, bar, fireplace and seating area.

After: Outdoor Kitchen Addition

The back of the home has a new look with the addition of a kitchen by Mosaic Group on the enclosed porch.

After: Covered Outdoor Kitchen

The homeowners now have an outdoor kitchen complete with a built-in gas grill with side burners, a Big Green Egg and a large commercial hood. The porch is designed by Mosaic Group to include a built-in trash receptacle and storage, along with a raised bar with bluestone countertops. The backsplash is tile.

After: Rustic Outdoor Kitchen Addition

The homeowners wanted a porch that was usable all year and a destination for dining.

Before: Too Small Patio

The homeowners wanted Mosaic Group and King Landscaping to create outdoor rooms for their home, including a grill station and fireside dining area, linked by colors and materials.

Before: Basic Patio

The patio had a fire pit and seating, but the backyard's size offered the opportunity to add an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.

After: Expansive Backyard Entertaining Area

Who would not want to hang out in this backyard? The patio now includes a grill station and engaging spaces to entertain a crowd or relax with a few friends. A window was turned into a door on the far side of the breakfast nook leading to the grill station with an eat-in counter.

After: Grill Station

The grill station was made from fieldstone similar to the existing retaining wall along the property line to blend with the yard’s natural character. Mosaic Group used bluestone for the grill station floor. The counter is 4” thick black concrete with exposed Mexican beach pebbles and cantilevered over a round pillar that makes the space feel roomier.

After: More Space

The outdoor kitchen and dining area are part of the space, enabling the cook and guests to view the fireplace and converse. Walls with seating flanking the fireplace provide additional informal seating.

Before: Longing for a Kitchen

A Georgia backyard is landscaped and offers a seating area, but no outdoor kitchen, a definite desire on this homeowner's wish list.

After: Shiny Outdoor Kitchen

The patio holds a compact, but cool, outdoor kitchen with stainless steel grill, refrigerator, warming drawers and storage. The project is by Georgia Landscape.
