Swordleaf Inula

Botanical name: Inula ensifolia

Features delicate, yellow, daisy-like blooms on clumping plants. Flowers have yellow eyes with delicate petals radiating outward from there. Blooms in summer. Leaves are narrow and green. Plant size ranges from one to two feet tall and about two feet wide.
How to use it: Use in the front of a mixed perennial border or rock garden.
Culture: Place in a well-drained soil and provide with moderate water. Plant in full sun to partial shade. Propagated through seed or division. No serious problems with pests or diseases.
Special notes: Short-lived in Southern gardens, lasting about two to three years.
