Emily Tucker uses tulle to embellish a wedding scrapbook page.

Materials and Tools:

12" x 12" cream embossed cardstock
plain black and cream cardstock
tulle, cord, lace and trimmings
1/8" circle punch
glue dots
various buttons and charms
paper trimmer and scissors
script computer font

1. Trim cream embossed cardstock to fit on black 12" x 12" cardstock, leaving a 1/4" visible black border.

2. Cut a cream mat 1/8" larger than photo and mat with photo. Mat photo again on black, leaving a 3/4" border. Punch two holes on each corner of the black mat, approx. 1/8" apart. Starting from the back surface of matted photo, weave tulle in and out through the holes in the mat to create a border around the photo.

3. Adhere buttons, flowers or other embellishments to corners of mat to hide holes. Use glue dots to secure tulle on back surface of mat and secure to layout.

4. Cut two tags born black cardstock (4" x 2-1/4" each). Print titles or journaling onto cream cardstock, then tear titles and adhere to black tags. Embellish tags as shown with tulle, buttons, charms, lace and trimmings and adhere with glue dots. Adhere tags and cord with glue dots and secure with large button at top of layout.
