Victoria Slone's three-panel stationery is an elegant way to send written correspondence. Three colors of card stock, raffia and Chinese brush-painted panels are all one needs to complete this envelope and card in one!

Materials and Tools:

card stock: black, maroon, white, yellow
natural colored raffia
glue stick
plain, light-colored paper
calligraphy ink
paintbrushes
rice paper
various acrylic paints

Steps:

1. Cut three pieces of different colored card stock into 2" x 3" rectangles. Then cut two 6" x 3" rectangles out of the black card stock. Set aside.

2. Cut rice paper into 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangles. Set aside.

3. Punch a hole on top and bottom of both sides of the maroon and white card stock. Punch a set of holes only on the left side of the yellow card stock and on one of the black card stock pieces.

4. Thread natural-colored raffia through each of the pieces of card stock to hold it together. Start at the yellow end and work your way back to the maroon. Once this is done, use a piece of black card stock to hide and stabilize your raffia ties.

5. Paste light-colored paper to the remaining piece of black card stock, making sure not to cover the hole punches. This will provide a writing palette. Tie it with raffia to the three-panel portion of the card.

6. Take the rice paper and glue one to each panel of card stock. Brush-paint your floral images on the rice paper. Set aside and let dry.
