Materials Needed:

  • painter's tape
  • Mylar stencil
  • pouncer (aka round sponge brush)
  • quart of latex paint
  • quart of polyurethane

Step 1

If your table isn’t white, paint it with a latex paint first (try Popped Corn by Behr). Clean the tabletop with a damp rag, and wipe dry. Center the stencil on the table, securing it with painter’s tape.

Step 2

Pour paint on a disposable plate, and dip a large pouncer in the paint. Dab the pouncer over the stencil, and let dry.

Step 3

Remove the stencil and re-tape it so that the pattern lines up with the one you just painted. Continue to paint with the pouncer, working from the center to the edges. Once the paint is dry, coat the tabletop with polyurethane to protect it.
