How to Make a French-Themed Baby Shower Backdrop
10 to 15 yards fabric, depending on area
tension curtain rod
'BONJOUR BEBE' letter templates (download + print: B, O, N, J, U, R, E)
8" round stencil (a plate or bowl works well)
10 sheets black card stock
small hole punch
(2) adhesive hooks
Fold fabric long ways and use a pencil and ruler to mark 2-inch sections. Consider window or doorway size, and cut long strips of fabric.
Expand curtain rod to approximate length of window or doorway, and tie streamers on. Tie streamers tightly together with knots on the same side. Cut off excess fabric sticking out from knots.
Download and print letters for 'Bonjour Bebe' garland. Cut out the circle around each letter.
Trace 8-inch bowl or plate onto black
Use a small hole punch to create holes on the right and left of the circle.
String Letters + Hang
Secure curtain rod in the top of window sill or doorway, and place a hook on either side at desired height. Measure a piece of twine across hooks allowing a slight drape and cut. Measure a second piece of twine across hooks allowing a greater drape and cut. String 'Bonjour' letters onto a short piece of twine, and string 'Bebe' letters onto a long piece of twine. Tie the ends of both garlands onto hooks and slide letters to the center.
