Homemade Joy Card With Pop-out Feature

To make a joy card, start by folding a piece of paper in half.

Create Ornaments

Print template onto white card stock and cut out an ornament shape. Using this as a template, trace outline onto back side of each color of glittered card stock and cut out (Images 1 and 2). Tip: If not using glittered paper (which is not printable), the template can be printed directly onto colored card stock and cut out.

Create JOY Lettering

Cut lettered circles out of white card stock (Image 1). Glue letters onto glittered card stock ornaments (Images 2 and 3).

Create JOY Message Banner

Cut a six-inch piece of white thread. Using hot glue, attach letters to string leaving approximately 1/2 inch between each ornament. Tip: To ensure that letters are evenly spaced on thread, attach "O" first in the middle, then glue "J" and "Y" on each side. Attach banner to inside of card with hot glue, covering glue beads with 3-D pearl embellishments.
