Materials Needed:

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1 package hot dogs
  • mustard and ketchup
  • toothpick
  • baking sheet

Wrap Hot Dogs in Dough

Unroll crescent dough and pinch seams together to form a solid dough rectangle. Using a knife, cut rectangle into 1/2-inch strips. Beginning at one end of hot dog, wrap strip of dough around hot dog, leaving a small gap with the hot dog showing for the eyes (Image 1). Continue to wrap dough around hot dog in a slightly random pattern to resemble the dressings on a mummy (Image 2). Once the first strip of dough has been used, continue to wrap with another strip. End the wrappings at the hot dog's bottom, tucking the dough under to secure it (Image 3).

Bake and Add Eyes

Once all hot dogs are wrapped, place them on a baking sheet and bake in oven at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes. Using a toothpick, add yellow mustard eyes (Image 1) then serve your mummy dogs with mustard and ketchup as dipping sauces (Image 2).
