Turn Instant Photos Into Eye-Catching Wall Art
Like Polaroids of the past, Fujifilm Instax photos are the new wave of instant photos. Group pics from the same day or event for keepsake decor you can make in a snap.
- Fujifilm Instax Wide Camera
- 2 rolls of film per event/location
- 3 clear acrylic frames, at least 14"x19"
- double-sided tape
Each frame will hold 12 photos. Take at least 12 photos of each event, vacation or location you’d like to document. I used photos of a farm, a beach vacation and my neighborhood's architecture. By framing all photos from one event in one frame, each frame will have its own colors and tone. This same effect can be achieved by printing photos from your phone that have all been through the same photo filter.
Open the acrylic frame and lay out the photos in four even rows. Once you're happy with the arrangement, use double-sided tape to attach the photos to the frame. Tip: Be careful to keep the lines straight — if you're having trouble eyeballing it, set a ruler or sheet of paper beneath each row as you place the photos.
Repeat the same process for all three frames, filling each with photos that are all from the same event, location or subject matter.
Hang and Enjoy
Hang the three frames in a row against a light-colored wall. You’ll see how each takes on a color palette and tone of its own simply because of the photos inside.
