Dress up your home for autumn with these easy-to-make plaid vases using upcycled jars.

Materials + Tools

mason jar(s) or other glass jar(s)
white spray paint
paintbrush
washi tape
creamy white acrylic paint
blue acrylic paint

black acrylic paint
sandpaper
twine
hot glue gun + sticks
faux flowers

Begin by cleaning out your glass jars. Spray paint a base coat of white paint. Once dry, add a coat of creamy white acrylic paint.

Begin by cleaning out your glass jars. Spray paint a base coat of white paint. Once dry, add a coat of creamy white acrylic paint.

Mask off vertical stripes on the jar using washi tape. Mix white, blue, and black paint to get a grayish-blue color. Paint between the tape and remove the tape to reveal vertical stripes. Let dry completely.
