Best Dressed

Located at The Greenhouse at Driftwood in Driftwood, Texas, this boho shower sets the stage for a funky, festive day of fun. Encourage guests to get in the groove by sporting festival-ready attire and, of course, their VIP badge-inspired invitations!

VIPs Only

This all-access-pass invitation is the perfect way to show guests that they aren't in for any ordinary baby shower! Look for adhesive lamination sheets or pouches at an office supply store, then punch a hole, and add a pretty ribbon as a lanyard. Download the invite here.

Show Me the Way

For a bit of festival-inspired whimsy, a directional sign featuring places both near and far is the way to go! Simply cut out cardboard arrows and paint or wrap with pretty paper. Decide on your destinations, then adhere each to a thin wooden stake with tacks, staples or adhesive hook and loop strips.

Windblown Whimsy

Fanciful, lacy dreamcatchers add even more bohemian spirit to the surroundings. If you'€re handy, head to your local craft store to pick up hoops and yarn to make your own. Otherwise, check out the offerings at party supply stores or online retailers.

Flower Power

What's a music festival without flower crowns? Create a make-your-own station for guests, complete with all the supplies they'll need to craft boho-chic floral headpieces.

Best Buds

Sure, you can have ready-made crowns available, but we think it's more fun to DIY! "The flower-crown booth was so important to incorporate into Mommapalooza," says stylist Daniela Lukomski of AustinStyled. "It's a great idea for an activity to get guests interacting."

Petal Perfect

Don't forget to have a beautiful headpiece awaiting the guest of honor! Here, the host helps crown the momma-to-be with a quintet of red silk roses. Get simple, step-by-step instructions for show-stopping flower crowns here.

Boho-Luxe Lounge

Lots of patterned pillows and a colorful rustic rug are a great way to create a cool and cozy lounge area for opening gifts and just hanging out.

Precious Pops

Guests were invited to create adorable — and useful! — baby-washcloth lollipops. Instructions were tucked in with the invitations. Find out how to make them with our tutorial here.

Stick It To 'Em

Fun, temporary tattoos are a hit at any festival. Create a flash-tattoo station for guests to apply at their leisure. Here, a flowing tent is laden with pillows, while a ceramic garden stool doubles as a tattoo-application table.

Grab-and-Go

Armed with glimmering tattoos and concession-style snacks, guests are really getting into the swing of things. “To continue with the festival theme,” says Lukomski, “we wanted snacks to be portable — like cones of popcorn and pretzels and watermelon on a stick — for guests to be able to grab and go. The idea was to make it fun, light and playful, just like you would see at an actual festival!”

Mum's the Word

With colorful tape and a few clothespins, you've got a fun baby shower game in the making. "€Don't Say 'Baby'" is easy. To start, each guest clips two clothespins onto her sleeve, collar or hem.

Winning Pins

Every time someone accidently uses the word “baby” (it’s harder than you think at a baby shower!), they lose a clothespin to whoever hears it first. The person with the most clothespins at the end of the party wins a small prize!

Sophisticated Sips

"Cucumber Lemonade is a light and refreshing beverage, perfect for guests during an outdoor event,"€ says stylist Erin Reas. This non-alcoholic refresher is ideal for mom-to-be and guests who prefer not to imbibe. Download the pretty ingredient card here.

Poolside Panache

“Consider several different seating areas for your guests, so they can spread out and choose a comfy spot to mingle and enjoy refreshments,” Dominguez says. This party location featured a beautiful swimming pool — the perfect place to catch up and cool off.

In the Details

How sweet are these straw tags, reminiscent of festival banners? Easy to create with washi tape, each features a fun message handwritten with metallic markers.

"We wanted the signage for Mommapalooza to be fun, inventive and eclectic to match the festival vibe,"€ says Austin-based stylist Hilary Dominguez. "One way we were able to accomplish this was by using a variety of mixed media: felt, paper, wood, metal." We particularly love these whimsical, illuminated metal letters propped poolside!

Glow On

Don'€t forget the colorful glow sticks for an impromptu dance party and as fun favors for guests on their way out. Your Mommapalooza is sure to be an event to remember!
