Yield: 8-10 ice pops

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1/3 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup fresh or frozen peaches, chopped
  • 1/3 cup oranges, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar

Materials

  • ice pop molds
  • ice pop sticks
  • mixing bowl
  • colander or strainer
  • large measuring cup with pouring spout

Instructions

1: In a bowl, mix wine, orange juice, pomegranate juice and sugar. Stir thoroughly to dissolve the sugar.

2: Add fruit to the bowl and stir. Cover and refrigerate the wine, juice and fruit mixture for at least one hour.

3: Using a colander or strainer, strain the wine mixture into a large measuring cup with a pouring spout, reserving the fruit.

4: Pour wine mixture into the ice pop molds, filling each mold about halfway to leave room for the fruit.

5: Add the reserved fruit to the molds. Drop a few pieces of strawberry, peach and orange into each mold, leaving about 1/4 inch of space at the top. (The mixture will expand as it freezes.)

6: Insert ice pop sticks, freeze for at least four hours, then enjoy! If the pops are difficult to remove from the molds, run hot water over the mold for 15-30 seconds.
