Beer-Glazed Bratwursts

Ingredients

1/4 cup lager-style beer
2/3 cup grainy Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons honey
12 bratwurst sausages
4 baguettes, halved and cut into three portions
1 1/2 cups sauerkraut
1 1/2 cups shredded aged white cheddar cheese
3/4 cup diced red onion

Yield: 12 sandwiches

Instructions

1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Whisk together beer, two tablespoons mustard and honey.

2. Grill sausages, basting often, for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.

3. Toast baguettes during the last five minutes of cooking. Spread baguettes evenly with remaining mustard. Serve bratwursts in baguettes with sauerkraut, cheddar cheese and onion.
