Stop And Eat The Roses

Handmade buttercream roses in pastel colors were piped petal by petal for the top of this three-tier vanilla cake with raspberry filling created by Umpleby’s Bakery & Café in Hanover, New Hampshire. 

Four Tiers of Flowers

This four-tier cake by Mahiha Creations in Charlottesville, Virginia, is covered with smooth Italian meringue buttercream and covered with roses, peonies, ranunculus and maidenhair fern made out of sugar dough. Inside there are two layers of vanilla butter cake with bourbon caramel and dark chocolate ganache and two layers of almond cake with lemon curd, vanilla cognac buttercream, fresh strawberries and blueberries.

On a Pedestal

A sweet ending to an autumn wedding in a vineyard, this cake was elevated on a wooden box and decorated with fresh moss, delicate blooms and Champagne grapes by Bergerons in Washington D.C.

Love Springs Eternal

Designed with cherry blossom season in mind, this cake has ranunculus, cymbidium orchids and miniature tea roses in blush, bubblegum pinks and citron.

Floral Cascade

Designed by Bergerons in Washington, D.C., this cake has a floral cascade of stock and hydrangea florets with garden roses, miniature tea roses and chrysanthemums.

Sweet and Succulent

Designed by Southern California’s Torrance Bakery, this vintage-inspired cake wrapped in lace and burlap gets a bit of green from succulents native to the area. 

Stately Cake

The state flower of Virginia—dogwood flowers—adorn this wedding cake made by Cakes by Graham in Richmond, Virginia. They’re made from petal paste, or sugar dough that’s been rolled out, cut, textured and air-dried on shaped forms.
