Elegant Exterior

While tour buses clog the winding Westside streets of L.A. to gawk at outrageous celebrity mansions, some of the city’s biggest power players have traditionally lived grandly and discreetly mid-city, in the elegant Windsor Square neighborhood. In fact, some people call it “The First Neighborhood of L.A.,” because it's where The Getty House, the official residence of the mayor of Los Angeles, is located. This restored Italianate-style home in Windsor Square was built in 1921, and some say that it's far more chic than the nearby mayor’s manse.

Welcome to Windsor Square

The home features an arched entryway, wrought iron balcony and fully landscaped courtyard that lends privacy to the living room behind it.

Living Room

The sophisticated yet comfortable living room has a large fireplace, wood floors, high beamed ceilings and French doors that lead to front patio.

Dining Room

The formal dining room with high beamed ceilings, wood floors, arched windows and French doors lends itself to either traditional or modern decor.

Kitchen

The gourmet kitchen has been carefully updated to add modern fixtures and appliances while retaining its more traditional charm.

Master Bedroom

In addition to a generous master bath and plenty of closet space, the large master suite features views of the Hollywood Hills and a cozy sitting room with southern exposure.

Backyard

Mature foliage provides privacy, while flagstone and gravel ground cover keep the backyard relatively low maintenance. It was designed to be reminiscent of an Italian courtyard.
