HGTV Green Home 2010: New England Tour

Start in the Pinehills community and work your way to the Cape and the quaint New England towns that border Plymouth, Mass., home of this year's HGTV Green Home.

The Pinehills boasts its own full-service gourmet grocery store, complete with a bakery that produces artisan breads and handcrafted pastries and specialty seafood and meat departments.

Martin’s Flowers, housed in a vintage-style clapboard cottage, is a family-owned and operated floral shop that services the Pinehills community.

The Pinehills’ village green was designed as a place to congregate, picnic, enjoy jazz and blues concerts and visit with neighbors and friends.

A circular garden in the village green provides a perfect spot to reflect, enjoy nature, people watch or enjoy a good book.

Olio, a European-style café located at the Pinehills village green, specializes in breakfast, lunch, takeout and catering. The café also offers a regular roster of cooking classes.

Convenience at every turn, a brick, flower-lined walkway leads through the village green to the Pinehills post office.

Plymouth’s town wharf serves both commercial fishing fleets and recreational boats in Plymouth Harbor.

The cape’s oldest town, Sandwich, is home to Russell's Corner, established in 1917 and once the town’s only grocery store. Today the building houses several unique shops.

Sandwich’s picturesque marina offers access to Cape Cod Bay and Buzzards Bay and serves as the gateway to the Elizabeth Islands and Martha's Vineyard.

The marina features 140 seasonal slip holders, 42 commercial slips and 24 transient slips.

Located at the east end of Cape Cod Canal, the marina is surrounded by wetlands.
