Master Bedroom From HGTV Green Home 2009

An oasis of calm, this casual-chic sleeping space features a soothing, sea-blue color palette and layers of luxe, organic fabrics.

The colors are directly related to the glorious water of the local beaches and this suite really takes you away. It feels peaceful and relaxed but definitely sophisticated in a wonderfully casual way.
Interior Designer Linda Woodrum

To build the color story and create an oasis of calm, Linda first focused her attention on the luxurious queen-sized bed, outfitting it with a headboard crafted from wood scraps, padded and upholstered in organic linen to match the box-pleated duster. Windows, which flank the bed and offer a scene-stealing view of the screened patio, are dressed in bamboo shades and lined hemp drapes and shine a spotlight on parson-style side tables. The sitting area is framed by two reclaimed shelves chock-a-block with sea-inspired treasures, while linen-covered lounge chairs provide the perfect spot to chat and enjoy refreshments or get lost in a good book.
