When you step into the dining room "there is a beautiful explosion of color," says interior designer Linda Woodrum. While red increases appetite, the antique hue "adds contrast and breaks up the white throughout."
While the dining room can be used for occasional dinner parties, it primarily functions as a home office. "We love that it's not a wasted space and can be used all of the time," says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
Opening the dining room to the foyer creates a bold statement upon entry. "We love the dining room, because when you walk in the front door there is a beautiful, fantasy room," says interior designer Linda Woodrum.

"Having a dual-purpose room is significant," explains interior designer Linda Woodrum. Homeowners can easily host casual dinner parties in the evening and set up a hard-working office space during the day.

Sliding barn doors easily open and close for convenience and privacy. "When the room is in office mode, you can shut the doors, so people coming in won't see a mess," explains interior designer Linda Woodrum.
