"For me it's not any one particular room, but rather the attention given to create an unusual cabin in the woods," says RQD. "Indoor and outdoor has been married with materials that lend fabulous harmony; glass, steel, and stone all reflecting lots of outside light."
"I'm picking the foyer as it is the most unique space in this home and offers the most opportunity for imagination to have no limit," explains ChicagoBirder. "I see towering Christmas trees in December and 15' of tables set up for a wine tasting. I see a lot of fun."
"My favorite room is the living room," comments Katboydaz. "I can imagine sitting there looking out the expansive windows and feeling as if I were sitting in nature, rather than in the comforts of my home. The amount of natural light that one would enjoy is enhanced by the yellow accents making it a place of light and warmth."
"The incredible use of textures, from the wood and metal on the soaring beams to the rough stone fireplace to the smooth wood floors, add to the ambiance of the room," says foundagoodlife. "Kudos to the artist who thoughtfully used a slab from a local tree as the focal point on the fireplace chimney as a testament to the natural elements found both inside the room and outside the windows."
twoTERRIERs loves the kitchen, because "you can look in all directions. The combinations of granite, wood, stainless steel, glass, trussed high ceilings, bursts of gentle color, natural and unnatural light nurture all senses."
"The Dream Home's laundry room deserves favored status," says DBCoop. "Conveniently and comfortably set just off the garage and tiled foyer, the laundry room's stylish front-loading steam washer and dryer pair, with their toney granite hued exteriors, blend beautifully into the room's stone and metal accents."
"My favorite room is the dog room under the stairs," says Goalieson. "Yeah, it's a huge house that has so much to love, but I think that small space is totally perfect for my dogs. I always think it is very thoughtful of the designers to include our pets into their designs."
Katprevatte is a huge fan of the master bedroom. Why? "The decor is soft and restful," says Katprevatte. "I like that I can look out onto the wonderful landscape and still have the coziness of a fireplace and a place to read."
"Just like the rest of the home, the bathroom melds unique, modern touches with the classic rustic motif," explains Maureen_Vegas. "While embracing the comforting feel of a mountain getaway, the bathroom features smart, contemporary accoutrements that you don't see in just any lav. The stainless steel freestanding faucet is not only cool to look at, it also frees up every bit of the 71-inch tub for my soaking enjoyment."
"I am in love with the unique decor and spatial use in the guest suite," says minitoni. "I love the color scheme and the creative use of space as well as the two chandeliers flanking the bed. I think the bedding is sublime and the colors balance between cool and warm perfectly."
KimmieBee33 especially has an eye on the kids' bedroom. "It's warm, fun, inviting, and a great use of space" says KimmieBee33. "It would be great play, sleep, and entertain space. I love the colors, and use of the Muppets."
"I'd have to go with the outdoor kitchen/patio area," says kgauthier "I think this was intended to be a focal point if you're viewing the house from the backyard. It would be heavenly to sit out there and feel like you're in the woods."
