"You will spend an awful lot of time in the kitchen and I didn't want to look out and see a lot happening out there," says interior designer Linda Woodrum of her decision to keep deck furnishings minimal.

Durable AZEK decking will require minimum maintenance. Stainless steel railing cables will withstand the mountain's toughest weather conditions, while cedar deck rails will require only an annual oil treatment.
