A Light and Minimal Open Kitchen

This modern, minimal kitchen and living space is enveloped entirely in white, giving the home an otherworldly feeling of weightlessness. Baseboards and cabinetry bases are recessed, making walls and furnishings appear to float. Clerestory windows in the kitchen bring in loads of natural light.

A Total Kitchen Transformation: Before

Before, this kitchen was dark, heavy and dated, with terra cotta tile floors, a chunky island and glazed cabinetry. The home underwent a total transformation to a minimalist space with a light, bright color palette and furniture that appears to float in the rooms.

Custom Features in Unique, Minimal Kitchen

Large-scale, suspended fixtures give this minimal kitchen a feeling of weightlessness, bringing its concept together. A cantilevered wood countertop at the island and bamboo-backed shelves add warmth to the space and break up the room’s white planes.

A Major Living Space Transformation: Before

Before, this family room was homey but dated, with terra cotta tile floors, glazed cabinetry and French Country touches. The home underwent a total transformation to a minimalist space with a light, bright color palette and furniture that appears to float in the rooms.

Modern Home with ‘Floating Furniture'

Small bursts of color stand out starkly against the all-white palette of this modern, minimalist home. In the space, a combination of white and clear acrylic furnishings appear to “float” on the white floors. Even the baseboards are recessed to emphasize the home’s feeling of weightlessness.

Glass and Mirrors in Minimalist Dining Room

White walls and white floors merge to create a seamless, modern living and dining space. Ten white leather chairs surround a sleek, glass-topped table, while a single bracketed shelf serves as a sideboard. Throughout the minimalist space, furniture appears to “float,” adding to the rooms’ ethereal feel.
