Master Retreats: Bedroom With Southwestern Touches

Studio Revolution creates a warm and welcoming master suite from an oddly shaped loft. An eclectic mix of unexpected design details, like an Eames chair and floral wallpaper, turns this space into a fun, funky retreat, while a leather headboard and faux-cow skull give the room a slight Southwestern feel.

Master Bedroom Enjoys Views of San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge

Though size was not a concern in this master bedroom, the shape of the space presented a challenge in this San Francisco loft. A curved half wall allows views of the bay and Bay Bridge but limits the layout options for the bedroom furniture.

Master Suite Embraces Architectural Quirks With Design Features

Tasked with turning an open loft space into a comfortable master suite in a condo in San Francisco's Potrero Hill, Studio Revolution chose to call attention to the space's architectural quirks rather than hide them. Wood set in a chevron pattern creates an inviting feature wall with the rusticity of the design balanced by the clean lines of the leather headboard, the contemporary nightstands and the wallpaper covering the closet wall.

Bedroom Accents Create Southwestern Look With Contemporary Flair

Wooden boards set in a herringbone pattern, a resin cast longhorn skull and leather headboard create a southwestern-inspired look with contemporary flair in this bedroom.

Patterns, Textures Create Balanced Bohemian Look in Master Bedroom

Southwestern design accents, such as the resin longhorn skull, woven blanket and animal hide rug are balanced with a wallpaper print featuring large iguanas to create a fun, bohemian look in the master suite loft in a condo in San Francisco's Potrero Hill.

Iguana Wallpaper Highlights Rather Than Hides Walk-In Closet in Loft

This master bedroom lacked storage and was challenged by its curved shape. Studio Revolution built out a walk-in closet on one side of the room. Rather than hide the presence of the closet -- which is the first spot one sees upon entering the space -- the designers turned it into a feature by adding fun iguana wallpaper by Timorous Beasties.
