Vintage Horse Statues and Modern Art in Midcentury Modern Foyer

When the doors open into this Midcentury Modern foyer, guests are immediately greeted by two antique horses that add symmetry to this funky space. Antique furniture was added to give the space warmth, while brightly colored modern art, lamps and statues brighten the space by adding color. The giant blue and cream wicker rug in the center of the space adds texture while tying the design together.

To bring warmth to the foyer, designers combined vintage pieces of furniture with modern art. This makes the space welcoming, but also connects the design to that of the living room. Antique horses on either side of the door usher guests into the home.

`The dining set in this Midcentury Modern dining room was inherited by the homeowners who wished to have it included in the redesign of their home, so designers added some funky art an fun colors and textures to the space. Yellow modern art adds a cool pop of color to gray walls, and a modern chandelier is suspended above the table. To complete the space, new raw silk drapery was added to the windows to give the homeowners the option of privacy.

Midcentury Modern Master Bedroom with New Modern Furniture and Persian Rug

Expansive windows in this space add plenty of warm, natural light, making the space inviting. However, these windows didn't always make the space cozy, so designers added new silk drapes to block morning sun. New wood furniture was added to the space, the clean lines giving this master bedroom a modern feel, which was softened by the addition of new bedding and a Persian rug. The ceiling was painted green to give the space depth, while modern art was added to give personality to this mater bedroom.

Designers wanted this room to feel both intimate and spacious, so they added funky fabrics to the space. These fabrics add personality to the space, making it feel intimate, while the expansive glass windows allow tons of natural light into the space. That light plays off the vaulted ceilings, making the room feel large.

With the large, open plan of this room, designers wanted to make sure it felt like a home instead of an art gallery, so they added a berber rug to soften the space and tie together the furniture and the art.

To give this Midcentury Modern living room personality and depth, designers added funky pattern, unique accents and cool textures to the space. A leopard print chair and blue patterned couch soften the space, making it feel intimate, while the modern furnishings, such as the end table and lamp, continue the modern design. Along the back wall, stone has been carried halfway up the wall. This stone conceals the television and also serves as a display for some of the modern art in the space, while the large giraffe statue draws the eye to this part of the space.

The funky textures and patterns in this space help to add depth and personality to a large room. Modern furniture keeps the design continuous, while teal fabric and leopard print can be found throughout the space. To add texture to some of the darker colored furniture, designers added fuzzy pillows. To complete the space, designers added unique accent pieces and statues, showing off even more of the homeowner's personality, making the space feel intimate despite its largeness.

In this corner of the room, designers added a funky chair to give the space more seating and add an intimate vignette in which to play chess while enjoying the views of the outdoors.
