Feng Shui Inspired Before-and-Afters
Once cluttered and outdated, these rooms were given feng shui inspired makeovers and an organizational touch.
Before: Cluttered Studio
This small apartment doubled as a home and work studio; however, with all the work clutter, it's difficult to picture this space as the relaxing home environment it should be.
After: Balanced Living Room
Once a cluttered studio, the entryway was changed into an open and welcoming living room. Plain white walls were brightened with hues of golden yellow and powder blue. The space was transformed with modern furnishings and simple decor to create a balanced look.
Before: Uninspiring Dining Room
The dining room in this 1920s bungalow needed a serious design makeover and a splash of color. Lacking in square footage, the space required smaller, less bulky furniture.
After: Diamond Inspiration
An inviting round table replaced the old rectangular table, opening up the space and making it appear much larger. The old chairs were reused and reupholstered in a diamond-print fabric to coordinate with the gold diamond pattern stenciled on the vibrant plum walls.
Before: Overloaded Room
The plain white walls, uncoordinated decor and outdated furniture needed a fresh design scheme and a timeless look to make this bachelor pad bedroom more inviting.
After: Minimal Design
A bold orange paint with a geometric pattern was used to create a focal wall and modern theme, while a warm beige highlights the rest of the walls. To quiet the energy coming from the mirrors, curtains were added to mimic the window treatment over the windows.
Before: Pale Blue Bedroom
This master bedroom was visually busy for such a small space. To give the room a brand new and inspiring use, it was changed into a space every hard-working homeowner needs.
After: Spring Green Office
The master bedroom was transformed into a magical and more spacious home office. The room was painted a vibrant green with pink and black accent pieces to balance the bright hue.
Before: Bland All-Purpose Room
This multifunctional guest bedroom/exercise room was lacking in style and comfort. To bring this room to life, it needed a solid purpose and a fresh coat of paint.
After: African Inspiration
A calming environment was created using all green products, including a solid wood crib, non-toxic paint and 100 percent organic accessories. The walls were painted green to represent growth and blue to add a calming effect. In addition, a beautiful African-style tree mural adds a unique and symbolic touch to the space.
