Add Glitter

To make these glitter acorns, simply use a paint brush and coat them with mod podge. Then roll them in glitter and allow them to dry.

Floral Anchors

Try adding acorns to the bottom of a vase for a pretty accent to dried flower arrangements.

Acorn Candles

For this craft simply add acorns to the bottom of a glass votive and top it with a candle. These make a beautiful display for the mantle or the table.

Appetizer Helpers

To create these acorn appetizer sticks, simply drill a hole in the bottom or side of the acorn. Cut a bamboo skewer to the desired length. Add a bit of glue to the end of the skewer and insert it into the acorn. Allow to dry prior to use. Wipe clean.

Napkin Rings

To make these acorn napkin rings, simply glue acorns together facing the same direction until they form a circle. Allow them to dry and then thread your napkin through the center.

Place Settings

To make acorn place settings, hot glue four acorns together for a base. Next glue an acorn to the center of the four acorns. Then with a sharp X-Acto knife, cut a slit into the top acorn stem. Insert a hand written name on card stock into the stem.

Natural Necklaces

To make this acorn necklace, cut garden twine to your desired length. Remove the tops from the acorns. Then place the acorns along the twine and glue the tops back on the acorns. Knot the end to complete. You can leave the acorns plain or decorate them for more fun.

Natural Lighting

For a festive display, fill an apothecary jar with acorns and add a sting of battery operated lights.

Paint Them

To create painted acorns, simply select your favorite acrylic paints and paint just the nut portion. Allow to dry and use them in crafts or display them on their own.

Make a Gift Box

To make this acorn gift box, pick up a small wooden box from the craft store. Glue a ribbon around the lid and add acorns to the lid for a natural handle.

To make a nest ornament, simply add glue a bit of moss to the bottom of an acorn cap. Next glue in a pinch of moss then top it off with small blue beads for eggs.
