Picturesque Exterior

A tall chimney serves as the focal point of the front of the house. "It feels like a fairy tale cottage to me," Beth says. "We have a half acre with three orange trees, a grapefruit tree, an avocado tree and a lemon tree."

Old-Fashioned Appeal

Built in 1939, Beth's inviting Los Angeles home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a formal dining room. "It's old fashioned, like us," she says. "We feel like slightly upscale hippies."

Beth's Charming Details

Hardwood floors, dentil crown molding and a stone fireplace surround add style to the living room.

Inviting Furnishings

"We always want our guests to feel comfortable here," Beth says of her Los Angeles home. "It's real, not fancy. Our home is just about love."

Beth's Personal Touches

Photos, plaques and artwork are proudly displayed throughout the home.

Beth's Favorite Space

Beth says she likes to start the day by drinking coffee and reading spiritual books in the kitchen — her favorite room in the home. "I have an old table there from Montgomery Ward — tiger oak from the '30s — that we got when we first married 26 years ago. In the morning, the light comes in and hits that table," she says.

Country Style

In the dining room, rustic wood furniture enhances the home's French country style, while a large bay window frames views of the front yard. "[The neighborhood] feels like the East Coast because we have tall trees and large yards," Beth says. "The neighbors are very friendly and kind."
