Rustic Georgia Ranch

Celebrity animal handler Jack Hanna's sister liked his home so much that she had her Georgia retreat built in its likeness.

Front Door

The sprawling 5,200-square-foot home sits on 33 acres in Talking Rock, Ga., which is about an hour outside of Atlanta.

Foyer

With stone floors and a rough-hewn wooden support beam, the foyer sets the tone for the rustic home.

Great Room

The open-concept great room boasts soaring ceilings and one of the home’s two stacked-stone fireplaces.

Dining Room

The dining room is a perfect spot to enjoy the home’s spectacular views of surrounding meadows and Georgia pines.

Dining Room

The 18-foot exposed logs in the dining room and adjacent great room were brought down from the nearby forests of Tennessee.

Chandelier

A unique antler chandelier illuminates the dining room.

Kitchen

The kitchen boasts granite countertops, custom wood cabinetry and hardwood floors.

Kitchen

Despite its rustic style, the kitchen is equipped with chef-grade appliances.

Bar

Just off the kitchen is a custom-built wet bar, which enjoys views of the North Georgia Mountains.

Outdoor Fireplace

The home’s second stacked-stone fireplace can be found outside on the spacious porch.

Outdoor Living

The massive porch is great a place to sit and listen for bobwhites, whippoorwills and a nightly chorus of frogs.

Master Bedroom

The rustic master suite offers his-and-hers closets, an en suite bathroom and serene views.

Master Bathroom

The master suite comes complete with an oval-shaped soaker tub and a separate shower.

Guest Room

The home includes five bedrooms and four bathrooms, including this lovely wood-paneled guest room.

Powder Room

Around every corner of the 5,200-square-foot home is a custom detail, like this wooden vanity in the powder room.
