Moroccan Living Room
Episode DOD-801See all Episodes
Matt Klauschie and Jami Carter have a cavernous living room with raised ceilings and an angled fireplace, but the room lacks style and warmth. The space is bland, uninviting and is without a focal point. Interior designer Kristan Cunningham shops at a Moroccan import store for authentic wares and refurbishes old thrift store chairs. Design coordinator Spencer Anderson embellishes a plain chandelier, while fellow design coordinator Dave Sheinkopf creates a template for a stencil to dress up the plain fireplace niche. The Design on a Dime team turns this overcast room into a bright welcoming space with a theme and focus for under $1,000.
